 The backbone of any nonprofit is a great group of volunteers. At Kindred Spirits Ranch, we think of ours as tribe — every member essential, every contribution treasured. Our volunteers are people who desire to be part of something bigger than themselves, and in doing so, connect deeply to people, animals, and the land we share.

One definition of ‘volunteer’ is “a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task.” Sound familiar? Maybe like a Veteran who freely offered to protect our freedom? Volunteering at KSR is your chance to freely give back — and while there’s no financial compensation, you’ll be paid in gratitude, a sense of accomplishment, a circle of like-minded people, and experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

As a growing nonprofit, KSR is actively seeking volunteers for all aspects of our mission — whether you’d like to participate on your own, or bring a group or company along with you. Some roles listed below require training, which we are happy to provide.

 Research, write, and apply for grants that support KSR’s programs. A strong writer with an eye for opportunity is a tremendous asset here.

 Keep KSR running behind the scenes: file management, phones and email, Google Drive organization, and sending heartfelt thank-yous to our supporters.

Love connecting people? This role is all about welcoming new volunteers, matching them to the right opportunities, and keeping our tribe growing.

 We are expanding our Board of Directors and are specifically seeking to fill our Secretary seat. If you’re passionate about KSR’s mission and ready to help shape its future, we’d love to hear from you.

 Be the welcoming face of KSR on event day. From greeting participants to supporting our facilitators with the day’s itinerary, there are countless ways to help things run smoothly.
