Tilly and Shaman - Horse Ambassadors of KSR

Tilly and Shaman, both mixed-bred, bonded horses came from a large horse leasing operation. 

The numerous scars over both their bodies immediately told the story and reason for the dead, glazed look in their eyes.

 Obviously let down by humans – used as money-making tools, void of any connection or trust - these resilient

beings tolerated years of carrying people of all ages, most with no experience, over miles of

trails and years of kid camp activities. Constantly separated from each other and shipped all

over the Eastern states, KSR fundraised to purchase these horses, knowing they had so much to

give to people who have endured similar trauma. Now, forever to be together and living at

Abenaki Farm and with KSR, Tilly and Shaman continue their own journey of developing

confidence and trust, while at the same time, sharing their joy and wisdom with those

fortunate to work with them.
