Located in the heart of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, Abenaki Farm & Stables is a
full-service, multi-disciplined equine facility on 115 acres of pasture, trails, rolling hills and river,
in Campton. Although the Farm is just three minutes from I93 and two hours from Boston, once
arrived, the person is immersed in privacy, nature and quiet. The West Branch of the
Pemigewasset River serves as the longest boundary of the Farm, offering a cool respite on a
hot day and a migratory highway for wildlife of all types. Purchased in 2008, Lori named the
farm after the Abenaki tribe who once inhabited this beautiful property.
By applying her Western knowledge and firm belief that “horses should be allowed to be
horses,” Lori specifically sought to create a high-end, professional equine facility with all the
amenities and care desired, plus the support and friendly, low-key atmosphere that we all
appreciate! And as a result, she quickly developed a solid reputation and trust of horse owners
and professionals.
Abenaki Farm is primarily a boarding and training barn, rooted in the philosophy of connecting
with the horse. This connection is established by cultivating an understanding of the innate
nature of the horse, their mind, their actions, and their reactions through horsemanship and
groundwork. This foundation directly translates to all interactions with a horse and commonly
results in a much more effective and safe partnership with the horse.
Adding to the beauty and usefulness for all KSR needs, the Farm offers an over-sized indoor
arena, a round pen, outdoor riding arena, and both a stadium and cross-country jump course.
The stable features 20 12x12 matted stalls, huge turnout, heated grooming area, tack room and
lounge, and most of all, a wonderfully fun and knowledgeable staff and barn family. In addition,
our farm trails are part of the Central New Hampshire Snowmobile Trail System, providing miles
of year-round enjoyment of all kinds.
KSR is grateful to be able to call Abenaki Farm its home!
